Synopsis

Caroline Galactéros-Luchtenberg reintroduces a strategic dimension in the analysis of the current general crisis of the Western world. The crisis is protean. Our societies are very sophisticated and paradoxical. We are struck dumb with admiration about technology and seem to loose foot on ethics. We are connected and alone. Information is everywhere and hard to make sense of. We claim to be tolerant but our moralism is rigid and invasive.

Chinese society does share these paradoxes – the keys are different in the Middle Kingdom.

Caroline’s matrix sheds a new light on these trends, drawing from her experience in strategic intelligence and crisis management.

The speaker: Caroline Galactéros – Luchtenberg

PhD in Political sciences, founder and CEO of PLANETING, a consultancy firm specialized in strategic intelligence. Colonel in the French Army Reserve. Author of Ways of the World, ways of War in 2013 (Paris, Nuvis), and War, Technology, and Society in 2014.
